Sue Russell is a Los Angeles-based, internationally
syndicated journalist and author. She has written over 1,500 articles,
is an ex-magazine editor, and longtime contributor to many top
British and U.S. publications. Her work has been published in
newspapers like The Washington Post, Daily Telegraph,
Independent, San Diego Union-Times, Detroit News
and in London's Evening Standard and Japan's Daily Yomiuri,
plus magazines like the Sunday Express Review, S:2
magazine, Hello!, Night & Day, M Celebs,
Irish Tatler, Success Magazine, Redbook and
online at Court TV's Crime Library and BeautyWalk.com.
Since moving to the U.S. from her native U.K., Sue
has been U.S. correspondent for Hello!, for the Sunday
Express and for Australian Slimming. She has also been
a contributing editor to Success and Working At Home
among others. Her features also often appear in European countries
including Holland, Spain, Germany, Finland and Italy, and in South
Africa and Asia, and in Australia.
As a journalist and feature writer, Sue reports
on a wide range of topics including crime, celebrities, lifestyles,
social issues, and many health, beauty and fitness-related subjects.
Her books are similarly diverse. She tackles subjects like prophylactic
cancer surgery, global violence against women, girl gangs, alternative
medicine, business success stories and personal profiles. In over
two decades of interviewing celebrities she has profiled more
stars than she can count but the list includes Michael Douglas,
Mel Gibson, Jodie Foster, Michelle Pfeiffer, Arnold Schwarzenegger,
Jeff Bridges, Jamie Lee Curtis, Cybill Shepherd and Raquel Welch.
Her book, Lethal Intent,
is the inside story of serial killer Aileen Wuornos who shot seven
men to death in Florida in 1989 and 1990 and who, after ten years
on Death Row, was executed on October 9, 2002.
Sue spent two years investigating Aileen's life
and was in court every day throughout her trial and penalty phase
hearings. Lethal Intent is fully updated and also contains
much exclusive material that sheds new and different light on
this rare and perhaps unique serial killer. (Published by Kensington
Books' Pinnacle True Crime imprint, November 2002.)
Sue's previous books include, Damsel of Death,
also about Aileen Wuornos, which was published in the U.K. and
Australia in 1992 and 1994 by Virgin U.K. (Virgin declared it
one of their top-selling true crime titles ever.)
In complete contrast, Sue has written about the
beauty industry for book packager Weldon Owen and The
Body Shop, the natural beauty company founded by activist
Anita Roddick. Sue was co-author of Star Mothers: The Moms
Behind the Celebrities with Cher's mother and Phyllis Quinn.
(Simon & Schuster, USA, and St. Martin's Press, USA; hardback
and paperback). Click here to see a writing

She was Britt Ekland's co-author on her health and
beauty book, Sensual Beauty, a best-seller in the U.K.
(Sidgwick & Jackson, U.K., hardback and paperback. Also published
in the U.S. by Merrimack, USA.)
As an author, Sue has appeared on television and
radio shows on both sides of the Atlantic, and beyond. (The Biography
program in the U.S., Granada TV's This Morning in Britain,
and Good Morning Australia, among them.) She once had her
own weekly segment on a phone-in radio show on LBC (London
Broadcasting Company) focusing on health and beauty issues
and triggered by her highly regarded investigative features.
A veteran researcher, Sue has joined forces with
two fellow journalist/authors, Karen Dustman J.D. and Sophia Dembling,
to form the research service, FactChasers (www.FactChasers.com)
to aid screenwriters, authors, editors, individuals and corporate
clients in finding intriguing statistics, sources and experts,
hard-to-track info, great quotes and interviews.
